CVARC VT QSO Party at Vermont Tech

Hi everyone,

I am happy to announce that CVARC will be operating the Vermont QSO Party this year at Vermont Technical College in Randolph Center. We’ll be operating out of Morey Hall with two HF stations. More details to follow regarding directions and parking.

We will be needing volunteers to help set up the stations and string antennas. The plan is to meet at VTC at 8am Saturday morning, February 1st. Please RSVP no later than Friday, January 31st if you would like to volunteer on Saturday morning – VTC campus safety would like a list. You may email me or reach out via the “Contact Us” page (account required). Please use 147.570 MHz FM simplex for talk-in – this should be far enough away from any calling frequencies used during the contest.

We hope to see you there!

-Patrick, KC1DPM
CVARC President

Meeting on 12/4 at Norwich University

Good afternoon everyone,

Next week’s meeting will be held Wednesday, December 4th at 6pm at Norwich University in Mack Hall, Room 307. We will still be discussing plans for the VT QSO party, but unfortunately, Chris Knox will not be giving giving his remote ham station presentation due to unforseen circumstances.

To get to Mack Hall, turn onto ID White Avenue from South Main St/Rt 12 in Northfield, next to the Armory. Then, take the first left onto Harmon Drive, and continue a short distance until you reach the building. There is parking available right outside. GPS address: Harmon Dr, Northfield, VT 05663

73 and Happy Thanksgiving to all! We hope to see you at the meeting!

-Patrick, KC1DPM
CVARC President
